TREATMENTS

My services are client-centred. The goal of treatments is to achieve the best result for clients' health and wellbeing. Usually a bespoke treatment plan is suggested after an initial consultation has been conducted with a first time visit client. In a treatment, I use either single therapy or a combination of therapies listed below suited to an individual’s condition. As treatments progress, treatment approach may be modified after an assessment of health condition presented in each of the follow up sessions. Personalised and TCM guided lifestyle and dietary suggestions are also offered as part of a holistic strategy to improve client's health.

Treatments that I currently offer include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Herbal Medicine
  • Tui Na Therapy
  • Acupressure Therapy
  • Cupping Therapy
  • Moxibustion Therapy
  • Deep Tissue Massage

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an established form of treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicine by inserting fine acupuncture needles in selected set of acupoints on the body. It serves to promote the flow of qi or vital energy of the related meridians and so to stimulate the function of the corresponding internal organs. Acupuncture is well-known for its effectiveness for pain conditions such as sciatica, lower back pain etc. but it is also used for internal health conditions, to recover health or promote general wellbeing.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine which uses the medicinal properties of herbs to treat a variety of medical conditions. Usually a formula, combination of different kinds of herbs, is prescribed to address concerns and serves to achieve clearing, warming, balancing, tonifying, or dissipating effects. Chinese Herbal Medicine is commonly used for internal conditions such as skin conditions, digestive disorders, infertility etc. but also is effective in relieving pain and muscular tension.

Tui Na

Tui Na is an ancient form of medical manual therapy which uses a wide variety of manipulating techniques on designed locations or acupoints of a patient’s body for the purpose of treatment. It is widely used for pain and muscular problems such as sciatica, wry neck, frozen shoulders, tennis elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome, and is particularly beneficial for conditions like post stroke immobility, paralysis, and muscle atrophy. Tui Na is also regarded in both ancient days and modern times as a preventive measure for health maintenance.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine in many countries and has become particularly popular nowadays. People usually find it very relaxing. Dry and fire cupping are most common which cups are applied on to specific parts of the body and suction is created to draw the blood to the area with the purpose of unblocking the stagnation and promoting the flow of qi and blood for health recovery.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a heat therapy which burns a moxa stick, made of dry mugwort, above specific areas or acupoints of the body, in order to recover health with warming and blood and qi promoting effects. Moxibustion is sometimes used together with needling to amplify the effect of acupuncture.

Massage Therapies

Massasge has been used in both ancient days and modern times for relieving muscular tension, aches, stress, and for improving general energy and wellness too.
